IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars have excelled in the 2009 All-Star Basketball Season; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished in third place in the Thibodaux Invitational in Thibodaux, Louisiana; second place in the Lockport Invitational in Lockport; and first place in the Slidell Invitational Tournament in Slidell; and,
WHEREAS, on March 15th, 2009, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished first in the District Tournament in Kenner, securing them an invitation to participate in the International Championship Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, on April 1, 2009, the St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars finished as the International Runners-Up in the 8 Year Old Biddy International Tournament in Abbeville, Louisiana, losing to Wichita, Kansas; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2009 St. Charles 8 Year Old All-Stars and their coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
THE ST. CHARLES 8 YEAR OLD ALL-STARS
Caroline Julian, Kourtney Weber, Isabella Brocato, Erykah Joseph, Maggie Wise, Pylar Zeringue, Diamon Sicard, Abryhia Irons, Chrislyn Boyd, Thomasita Gilbert, Stephanie Oubre, Bayleigh Baudouin. Head Coach: Tommy Julian. Assistant Coaches: Nathan Baudouin, Nick Brocato, and Brian Oubre.
