The Parish of St. Charles

IN   MEMORIAM

WHEREAS,                     on October 29, 2021, Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, saw fit to call from amongst us one of His most worthy servants, Mark Erich Weber; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, the son of the late Henry Charles Weber and the late Roselyn Karen Barovechio, was born June 21, 1971, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a resident of Metairie; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, leaves behind his sister Christine Weber Williams, brother-in-law Mike Williams, nephew Michael Williams, III, niece Katherine Williams, his devoted significant other Candance Cain and her daughter Savannah, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, was a 25-year employee of the United States Postal Service, who spent much of his time in the St. Rose location, there he made enduring friendships with the residents and leaves behind a community full of people who felt a special connection with their friendly neighborhood postal clerk; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, made visits to the St. Rose post office a little brighter and Christmas a little merrier for children who wrote letters to Santa Claus; he crafted handwritten reply letters for each child; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, was an avid sports fan and would chat up visitors regularly about recent games, players in the news, and their favorite teams which he had a strong recollection of; and,

WHEREAS,                     Mark, was funny, thoughtful, and larger than life.  He never met a stranger, and in his short time on earth, touched hundreds of people who all called him “friend.”  To his closest friends, he was ”Spud” or “Charlie”.  Not only was he incredibly giving, but his exceptional memory, specifically regarding numbers and dates, meant that he never forgot a birthday or special occasion.  He had an uncanny ability to reach out and say “Hi” just when people needed it the most; and,

WHEREAS,                     on behalf of all citizens of St. Charles Parish, the Parish Council, and Parish President wish to honor Mark Erich Weber as a dedicated Public Servant to the St. Rose Community and the Parish of St. Charles.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, duly assembled on this 20th day of December, 2021, do hereby express our sincere sympathy to the family of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a page in the Official Minute Book of the St. Charles Parish Council be set aside to record this Memoriam and when this Meeting is adjourned, it shall be done in memory of MARK ERICH WEBER.
