Title
A resolution providing mandatory supporting authorization to waive the 1500' maximum block length and to require an access street at the rear of the subdivision approximately 3800' feet from River Road as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-2002-12.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning & Zoning Commission approval and a supporting resolution of the Parish Council for variations to the subdivision regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the applicants, Naomi Landry, Francis X. Landry and Riverbend, LLC have presented a subdivision plan to create 110 residential lots in St. Rose, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommends waiver of the 1500' block length minimum but to require a street connection in the rear of the subdivision at approximately 3800'; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed variation from the subdivision regulations has received approval from the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby provide this supporting resolution for a waiver to the Subdivision requirement that limits block lengths to a maximum of 1500' as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-2002-12.
