Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances Appendix A, Section VIII. B (1) a. by adding that all access to commercial zoned property through any residential zoning district will require approval of a Special Permit Use by the Planning & Zoning Commission and Parish Council.
Body
WHEREAS, the accessing of commercially zoned property via streets in residentially zoned areas may have a significant negative impact of the residential neighborhood; and,
WHEREAS, in order to protect the residential areas of the Parish in which this circumstance may occur it is in the best interest of the Parish to require in-depth review and analysis by the Planning and Zoning Department, the Commission and the Parish Council; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to establish said regulation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Section VIII. B. (1) a. is hereby amended by adding the following number 7.
7. All access to any commercial zoned property through any residential zoning district shall require approval of a Special Permit Use by the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Parish Council.
