Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Agreement Regarding Supply of Wetland Mitigation Credits by and between Coastal Louisiana Resource, L.L.C., and St. Charles Parish in the amount of $143,500.00 for wetlands mitigation for the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Phase II - Willowridge.
Body
WHEREAS,      St. Charles Parish has undertaken the construction of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee, Phase II - Willowridge for providing comprehensive flood protection to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the West Bank of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS,      in order to fulfill the wetlands permitting requirements it is necessary to purchase 4.1 acres of Baldcypress/Tupelo swamp credits at the Bayou Terrebonne Coastal Mitigation Bank located in Terrebonne Parish in the amount of $143,500.00; and,
WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said Agreement to comply with the requirements of revisions to U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Permit No. MVN-2004-02101-ETT and Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Coastal Use Permit Application Number P20091182 [modified].
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.      That the Agreement Regarding Supply of Wetland Mitigation Credits by and between Coastal Louisiana Resource, L.L.C., and St. Charles Parish in the amount of $143,500.00 is hereby approved.
SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
