Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1(Final) for the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch Rehabilitation, Disaster Recovery CDBG Contract #684276, 45-FSCC-3501 (formerly 45-FSCC-1001), to increase the contract amount by $7,300.03 and increase the contract time by nineteen (19) days.
Body
WHEREAS,      Ordinance No. 12-2-3, adopted February 13, 2012, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Frickey Brothers Construction, LLC, for the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch Rehabilitation in the amount of $117,699.60; and,
WHEREAS,      the construction costs for said project are funded through a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Disaster Recovery Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $125,000.00; and,
WHEREAS,      the increase in contract amount resulted from the additional pavement of 358.9 square yards of parking lot adjacent to the launch area in order to utilize the full amount of the grant; and,
WHEREAS,      the increase in contract time was a result of unforeseen sight conditions necessitating a change in alignment on the pier and additional time needed to pave the additional parking lot.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.      That Change Order No. 1(Final) for the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch Rehabilitation, Disaster Recovery CDBG Contract #684276, 45-FSCC-3501 (formerly 45-FSCC-1001), to increase the contract amount by $7,300.03 and increase the contract time by nineteen days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
