Title

A resolution requesting the Parish President to secure all measures to cut and clean all long grass and remove any debris from the East Bank Levee on the south side of the Hale Boggs Mississippi River Bridge.

Body

WHEREAS,                     every July 3^rd St. Charles Parish conducts a 4^th of July Celebration, which includes an exhilarating display of fireworks, from the West Bank of the Parish for the enjoyment of the St. Charles Parish residents, friends and guests; and,

WHEREAS,                     the residents from the East Bank of the Parish enjoy this display from the East Bank of the levee; and,

WHEREAS,                     for the safety and comfort of the residents, friends and guests using the East Bank Levee removal of high grass, trash and debris would make for a much more pleasant evening of entertainment; and,

WHEREAS,                     for everyone's additional pleasure it would be necessary to request Mosquito Control to provide additional spraying for mosquitoes the day before and the day of the celebration.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby request the Parish President to secure all measures to cut and clean all long grass and remove any debris from the East Bank Levee on the south side of the Hale Boggs Mississippi River Bridge.
