Title

A resolution to designate a Fiscal Agency for the Parish of St. Charles for the period beginning May 1, 2001 and ending April 30, 2004.

Body

WHEREAS,                     Act 39 of the Louisiana Legislature as amended and supplemented provides for the terms and conditions of appointing a Fiscal Agency; and,

WHEREAS,                     Home Rule Charter Article III Section C. 2a. IV states that the Council shall designate as depositor the bank and trust company into which all public funds belonging to or controlled by the Parish or any Parish department, office, agency or special district shall be deposited; and,

WHEREAS,                     The Parish advertised for, received and opened sealed bids for a Fiscal Agency for the period beginning May 1, 2001 and ending April 30, 2004; and,

WHEREAS,                     The Parish Council's Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee carefully reviewed the fiscal agency bids submitted; and,

WHEREAS,                     The Committee recommends that the Parish Council appoint Hibernia National Bank as Fiscal Agency for the Parish of St. Charles for the period beginning May 1, 2001 and ending April 30, 2004.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PARISH COUNCIL OF THE PARISH OF ST. CHARLES, STATE OF LOUISIANA, ACTING AS THE GOVERNING AUTHORITY OF SAID PARISH:

                     SECTION I.                     That the St. Charles Parish Council does hereby appoint as Fiscal Agent of the Parish of St. Charles Hibernia National Bank for the period beginning May 1, 2001 and ending April 30, 2004; and,

                     SECTION II.                     That the St. Charles Parish Council Chairman is hereby authorized to enter into and sign the Fiscal Agency Agreement Bid Document attached hereto as "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof.
