Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a contract with River Birch Renewable Energy, LLC, to perform professional services for Solid Waste Collection Services, Project No. P210804.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed proposals for said services were received on November 19, 2021 and subsequently evaluated for the option of twice weekly fully-automated and/or semi-automated refuse collection and bulky waste pick-up twice monthly within St. Charles Parish (Base Proposal B-3); and,
WHEREAS, the Proposal Evaluation Team evaluated all Base Proposal B-3 submittals and it determined that River Birch Renewable Energy, LLC had the highest score meeting all requirements of the Solid Waste Collection 2021 Contract Documents & Specifications including Addenda Numbers 1 - 5; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to accept the proposal for these services with the highest evaluation score as determined by the Proposal Evaluation Team, which was submitted by River Birch Renewable Energy, LLC with a quoted amount of $14.75 per unit per month for twice weekly fully-automated and/or semi-automated refuse collection and bulky waste pick-up twice monthly within St. Charles Parish (Base Proposal B-3); and,
WHEREAS, the contract term for these services is for five (5) years beginning on May 1, 2022 with the option to extend the contract by mutual agreement of the parties; and,
WHEREAS, the attached contract between St. Charles Parish and River Birch Renewable Energy, LLC describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the contract between St. Charles Parish and River Birch Renewable Energy, LLC, for Solid Waste Collection Services in the amount of $14.75 per unit per month (Base Proposal B-3) is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2021, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
