Title
An ordinance to establish Community Boundaries within St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish consist of numerous communities, the boundaries of which have never been defined; and
WHEREAS, the lack of clearly defined community boundaries has caused numerous difficulties in establishing a geographical database and the Master Street Address Guide; and
WHEREAS, as new subdivisions are developed in the Parish the lack of boundaries has caused confusion among residents and the U.S. Postal Service, which will only continue until the problem is addressed; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to clearly establish and define Community boundaries within St. Charles Parish.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the following communities are hereby established and defined within St. Charles Parish:
Montz, Norco, New Sarpy, Destrehan, St. Rose, Ama, Luling, Hahnville, Taft, Killona, Boutte, Paradis, Bayou Gauche, Des Allemands.
SECTION II. That the boundaries of each community are as described in Exhibit A - St. Charles Parish Community Boundary Descriptions and displayed on Exhibit B - Community Boundary Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, prepared by South Central Planning & Development Commission and dated August 7, 2000.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2000, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
