IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Adam Joseph Ayme is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan, Louisiana with his parents Neal and Cathy Ayme and his brother Aaron; and,
WHEREAS, Adam is a Senior at St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace, presently ranked 7th in his class with a 4.52 grade point average; and,
WHEREAS, Adam hopes to attend Tulane University majoring in Accounting and continuing on into Law School; and,
WHEREAS, Adam belongs to several academic organizations among them Who's Who Among American High School Students, Beta Club, and the National Society of High School Scholars; and,
WHEREAS, Adam has received numerous academic awards such as a full 4 year St. Charles Catholic academic scholarship, Principal's list-4 years, District Literary Rally-3 years, State Literary Rally-2 years, nominated for Student Leadership Conference-Washington, D.C., invited to participate in Nicholls State University's Summer Academic Program, invited to the International Society of Poets' Convention-Washington, D.C., and has two poems published by the International Library of Poetry; and,
WHEREAS, Adam has also received several athletic awards and recognitions among them are football-4 years-Letterman-3 years-District Championship Team-1 year (2002), LHSAA Academic All-State Football Team-1 year (2003), Letterman in Powerlifting-3 years-2nd place State 3-A (2002), and placed 3rd in Regionals this year; and,
WHEREAS, Adam is a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church Parish CYO, SCC Peer Ministry, PASSED Program, SCC Carnival Ball, and hosted a foreign Japanese Football Player for the Super Bowl XXXV Jr. Championship; and,
WHEREAS, Adam has participated in many community service projects: the Thanksgiving Food Drive Volunteer, Relay for Life Participant, SCB Summer Camp Counselor Volunteer, SCC Golf Tournament Volunteer, Belle Terre Charity Golf Tournament Volunteer, and Volunteer for SCC Football Camp for Elementary School Players; and,
WHEREAS, Adam attributes his athletic and academic success to the school's outstanding Faculty and Coaching Staff and lists his greatest strengths as being multi-task oriented and working well under pressure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
