ORDINANCE NO.                    

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of two (2) Contracts for Professional Administrative Consulting Services with Bordelon, Foreman & Associates, Inc. in connection with two (2) applications for funding under the FY2010-FY2011 LCDBG Program for a Sewer System Improvements project and a Street Improvements project.

Body

WHEREAS,      the Parish intends to apply for funding under the FY2010-FY2011 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) Program for a Sewer System Improvements project and a Street Improvements project; and,

WHEREAS,      the Parish desires to engage Bordelon, Foreman & Associates, Inc. to provide technical assistance, as listed under section 2. Scope of Services, items A. through U.; and,

WHEREAS,      the Parish intends to pay all administrative costs in the completion of the applications and subsequent implementation of the projects, if funded, resulting in the State awarding one (1) bonus point to the final score of each application in its evaluation and scoring of the applications; and,

WHEREAS,      Bordelon, Foreman & Associates, Inc. has agreed that any payment under the contract is contingent upon the Parish receiving approval from the State for funds under the program, otherwise they will not be entitled to any compensation.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That the Contracts for Professional Administrative Consulting Services by and between St. Charles Parish and Bordelon, Foreman & Associates, Inc. for a Sewer Improvements project and a Street Improvements project are hereby approved.

SECTION II.      That in the event the grants are awarded, all grant administrative costs will be paid utilizing St. Charles Parish government funds.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contracts on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
