Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for the East Bank Bridge Park Improvements, Lighting Rebid (Project No. RECEBI23), to increase the contract time by 161 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 23-7-3 adopted on July10, 2023, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Danny J. Hebert, P.E., L.L.C. d.b.a. Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers, to perform engineering services for the East Bank Bridge Park Improvements (Project No. RECEBI23), in the not to exceed amount of $293,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 24-12-13 adopted on December 16, 2024, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract between Jones Construction Solutions, LLC, for construction services for the East Bank Bridge Park Improvements, Lighting Rebid (Project No. RECEBI23), in the amount of $1,067,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No.1 (Final) will increase the contract time by 161 days; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and Jones Construction Solutions, LLC, have mutually agreed to increase the contract time by 161 days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for the East Bank Bridge Park Improvements, Lighting Rebid (Project No. RECEBI23), to increase the contract time by 161 days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2025, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
