ORDINANCE NO.          12-12-8      

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Professional Services Agreement between Vanguard Technologies Incorporated and St. Charles Parish to provide planning, design, specifications, procurement, project management, installation, integration of equipment, and maintenance services in the implementation of the St. Charles Parish Government Building Security Project.

Body

WHEREAS,      the Parish intends to implement a comprehensive government building security program for Parish-owned government buildings; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish to engage a qualified firm to provide consulting services in the implementation and installation of said project; and,

WHEREAS,       the Courthouse Security Committee has recommended that the firm of Vanguard Technologies be engaged to provide said services; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish and Vanguard Technologies Incorporated to enter into an agreement for said services.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That the Agreement between Vanguard Technologies Incorporated and St. Charles Parish to provide consulting services in the implementation and installation of the St. Charles Parish Government Building Security Project, is hereby approved.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

And the ordinance was declared adopted this    17^th    day of   December  , 2012, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
