Title

A resolution endorsing waivers from the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, Section VI. Zoning district criteria and regulations, A.[I.] O-L. Open Land District, 2. Spatial Requirements, b. Minimum yard sizes, item (2), as requested by Leigh Ann Dugas.

Body

WHEREAS,                     Leigh Ann Dugas has requested a special permit to operate a public stable in an O-L zoning district on the property addressed as 12661 River Road, Luling; and,

WHEREAS,                     the stable exists and was built without a permit within the required 10 ft. side yard setback; and,

WHEREAS,                     Leigh Ann Dugas requested a waiver at the January 13, 2022 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting from the 10 ft. side yard setback requirement for the existing stable; and,

WHEREAS,                     on January 13, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the special permit for the public stable with the requested waiver, subject to the condition that the waiver only applies to the existing stable structure, and that the applicable building permits are obtained; and,

WHEREAS,                     the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires the Parish Council to endorse waivers from zoning regulations for special permit uses.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby endorses waivers from the Zoning Ordinance, Section VI. Zoning district criteria and regulations, A.[I.] O-L. Open Land District, 2. Spatial Requirements, b. Minimum yard sizes, item (2), as requested by Leigh Ann Dugas, to approve the special permit for a public stable in an O-L zoning district subject to conditions required by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their regular meeting on January 13, 2022.

                     The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
