Title

A resolution to request the Department of Public Works meet with Valero-New Orleans, LLC to request they consider a joint venture agreement to perform a detailed drainage survey of Annex St., E. Terrace St., Terrance St., Short St., and St. Charles St., in New Sarpy.

                  Body

WHEREAS,      Valero-New Orleans, LLC, has monies available to benefit the communities of the above referenced streets and having met with the residents, who wish to have subsurface drainage installed on their streets; and,

WHEREAS,      the initial cost estimate exceeds the monies available making the project unfeasible unless more detailed information regarding the existing drainage system can be ascertained; and,

WHEREAS,      it is in the best interest of the St. Charles Parish drainage system to install subsurface drainage on the above referenced streets; and,

WHEREAS,      in the spirit of cooperation, Valero-New Orleans LLC, St. Charles Parish and the residents desire that a survey be performed to provide the additional information required to adequately determine the feasibly of this project.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby request that the Department of Public Works enter into negotiations with Valero-New Orleans, LLC, to request that they consider a joint venture agreement to perform a detailed drainage survey of Annex St., E. Terrace St., Terrance St., Short St., and St. Charles St., in New Sarpy.
