Title

A resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Contract with Madden Gulf Coast, LLC for the Willowdale Blvd. Overlay and Widening (Project No. P240602), in the amount of $1,005,483.00.

Body

WHEREAS,                     Ordinance No. 24-11-11 adopted on November 18, 2024, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Bryant Hammett & Associates, LLC, to perform surveying services for Willowdale Boulevard Overlay and Widening (Project No. P240602), in the lump sum amount of $61,385.00; and,

WHEREAS,                     Ordinance No. 26-4-9 adopted on April 20, 2026, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc., to perform engineering services for Willowdale Blvd. Overlay and Widening (Project No. P240602), in the not to exceed amount of $137,335.00; and,

WHEREAS,                     sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 25, 2026, for the Willowdale Blvd. Overlay and Widening (Project No. P240602); and,

WHEREAS,                     Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. has reviewed the bids and recommends that the Contract be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Madden Gulf Coast, LLC, in the amount of $1,005,483.00.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.                     That the bid of Madden Gulf Coast, LLC for the construction of Willowdale Blvd. Overlay and Widening (Project No. P240602), is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $1,005,483.00.

SECTION II.                     That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

SECTION III.                     An executed Contract shall be filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
