Title

A resolution to approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Louisiana Department of the Treasury and the State of Louisiana, and St. Charles Parish regarding the allocation of $750,000.00 to be utilized for the revitalization of the West Bank Bridge Park after Hurricane Ida.

Body

WHEREAS,                     Act 170 of 2022 Regular Legislative Session of the Louisiana Legislature, which was adopted in accordance with Article VII, Section 10, of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana, is the appropriation for the expenditures of State funds; and,

WHEREAS,                     Act 170 of 2022 Regular Legislative contains a line item appropriation within the State’s budget for the benefit of St. Charles Parish allocating $750,000.00 in State Aid to Local Government Entities State General Fund Direct funding for the revitalization of the West Bank Bridge Park after Hurricane Ida; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Appropriations Act authorizes payment of expenditures from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and,

WHEREAS,                     St. Charles Parish will utilize these funds for the revitalization of the West Bank Bridge Park after Hurricane Ida; and,

WHEREAS,                     the State of Louisiana has prepared the necessary Agreement to provide the funding, and it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the State of Louisiana Department of the Treasury and the State of Louisiana, and St. Charles Parish for funding to complete the revitalization of the West Bank Bridge Park after Hurricane Ida in St. Charles Parish.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said agreement and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this agreement.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

 

 

 

 

And the resolution was declared adopted this               day of                         , 2022, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
