TRIBUTE

District I, Councilman Terrell D. Wilson is a native and resident of Hahnville.  He has one daughter, Kelsey and one grandson, Kobe.

 

Councilman Wilson is a graduate of Hahnville High School and completed his education at Nicholls State University.

 

Councilman Wilson is completing his second term in Office.  He ran unopposed and was elected to the St. Charles Parish Council in 2011 as the District I Councilman and was re-elected for a second term in 2015.

 

Councilman Wilson served as St. Charles Parish Council Vice-Chairman in 2014 and St. Charles Parish Council Chairman in 2017.  He served as Chairman of the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee for three terms; 2012-2014.  He is a member of the Operations, Maintenance and Construction Management Committee, the Special Projects/Public Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee, the Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee, the Legislative Committee, and the Hurricane Protection Projects Committee.

 

Councilman Wilson is the Ex-Officio member of the St. Charles Parish Library Board of Control, a member of the St. Charles Parish Council On Aging Board of Directors, a member of the South Central Planning & Development Commission, a member of the Sunset Drainage District Board of Directors, and a member of the St. Charles Parish Local Emergency Planning Committee representing local elected officials.  He served as the Ex-Officio member of the Planning & Zoning Commission, was an Alternate member of the River Region Caucus from January 2014 - July 2016, and was a member of the River Region Caucus from July 2016 - July 2019.

 

Councilman Wilson is a member of the Louisiana Police Jury Association, the Louisiana Police Jury Association Black Caucus, and the Police Jury Association’s Emergency Preparedness Committee.  He is a member of the National Association of County Officials and a member of NACo's Transportation Policy Steering Committee.
