Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with GIS Engineering, LLC, to perform engineering services for the Engineers Canal Pump Station Improvements Design Refinement (Project No. P260803), in the not to exceed amount of $1,423,978.00.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires for GIS Engineering, LLC, to take a previous design for the Engineers Canal Pump Station site in Norco and refine it to meet permit requirements, better avoid utility conflicts, and utilize the site space constraints with a new layout; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and GIS Engineering, LLC, have mutually agreed on a not to exceed price of $1,423,978.00 to complete the work consisting of full design of the pump station improvements, full permitting through a Coastal Use Permit and both a 404 and 408 Permit through the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) coordination; and,
WHEREAS, details on scope, schedule and compensation are described in the attached Professional Services Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and GIS Engineering, LLC, to perform engineering services for the Engineers Canal Pump Station Improvements Design Refinement (Project No. P260803), in the not to exceed amount of $1,423,978.00, is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted the ______ day of ____________, 2026, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
