Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles, providing that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles be amended by revising Appendix C, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981, to require Portland Cement Concrete Pavement in all new developments; to require conformance with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Standard Specifications for Roads & Bridges.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.  That Appendix C, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981, of the Code of Ordinances of the Parish of St. Charles be amended as follows:
1.      Revise IV. Design Standards.
A.      Streets.  Streets shall be classified as shown in Section III A(1), (i.e., arterial, collector, and local) and for the type of development-Residential or Commercial.  All construction materials and procedures shall conform to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Standard Specifications for Roads & Bridges latest edition unless otherwise specified.  Deviations from these Specifications shall have to be approved by St. Charles Parish Department of Public Works (Director of Engineering).
2. Revise IV.A.2. to read:
2.      Pavement Surfacing. The type of pavement surfacing shall be limited to Portland Cement Concrete Pavement.
3. Delete IV.A.4.a., b., c., d., e., f.
4. Attachments to Appendix C
Delete all reference to Asphaltic Concrete Pavement on:
      Typical Local Street Section
      Typical Collector Street Section
      Typical Arterial Street Section
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby provide that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, be amended by revising Appendix C, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981, to require Portland Cement Concrete Pavement in all new developments; to require conformance with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development Standard Specifications for Roads & Bridges.
