Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Construction Contract with Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc. for Project No. P090803, St Charles Parish Public Works and Wastewater Office Relocation Project in the amount of $505,862.00.
Body
WHEREAS,      sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on July 15, 2010 for Project No. P090803, St Charles Parish Public Works and Wastewater Office Relocation Project; and,
WHEREAS,      Campo Designs - Architects, the Architect for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc., in the amount of $505,862.00; and,
WHEREAS,      the existing Public Works Office and West bank Yard are located on Water Works property at the Luling Water Works Treatment Plant.  The Water Works Department is increasing the size of the plant and requires both office space and land to install another treatment storage tank.  This plan requires the relocation of the Public Works Office and West Bank Yard to another location.  The Public Works Office relocation to the vacated Destrehan Library location will make the office space available to the Water Works Department for its expansion requirements.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.      That the bid of Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc., for the renovation and relocation of office space for the St Charles Parish Public Works and Wastewater Departments under Project No. P090803, St Charles Parish Public Works and Wastewater Office Relocation Project, be hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $505,862.00.
SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
