Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. (EES). for the design of Parish Project No. S150301, St. Rose Sewer and Lift Station Upgrades.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish through the Lake Ponchartrain Basin Restoration FY14 year 13 grant, with Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. (Engineer) created plans to make upgrades to various St. Rose wastewater facilities; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has obtained an $8 million dollar low interest loan through the State’s Revolving Loan Fund; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish wishes to construct the St. Rose Sewer and Lift Station Upgrades which incorporates the Lake Ponchartrain Basin Restoration FY14 year 13 plans and includes a force main extension along Almedia Rd to alleviate numerous sanitary sewer overflows; and,
WHEREAS, this project requires professional services for the design and construction administration for the relocation of the force main; and,
WHEREAS, it is important that St. Charles Parish proceed with this project in order to protect the property and well-being of its citizens.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Environmental Engineering Services, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. S150301, St. Rose Sewer and Lift Station Upgrades is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Engineering Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
