Title
A resolution placing a Moratorium on the review of any applications or permits related to Video Bingo, Off-Track betting, Video Poker, or other non gaming or gaming establishments within St. Charles Parish until such time as File Number 2007-0307 is brought before the Parish Council for consideration and acted upon.
Body
WHEREAS, on October 4, 2007, the Planning & Zoning Commission considered a proposal to amend the Zoning Ordinances of 1981; Appendix A, Section VI, zoning district criteria and regulations to allow Bingo Halls and Video Bingo Parlors in C-2 and C-3 zones as a Special Permit Use and require an Ordinance of the Council; and,
WHEREAS, on October 4, 2007, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of the aforementioned proposal; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to individually consider Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, and Off-Track Betting Establishments because of their potential intensive land use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby place a MORATORIUM on the review of any applications or permits related to Video Bingo, Off-Track betting, Video Poker, or other non gaming or gaming establishments within St. Charles Parish until such time as File Number 2007-0307 is brought before the Parish Council for consideration and acted upon.
