Title
An ordinance to clarify the streets identified as Bethune Street and Second Street in Diamond Subdivision, Norco.
Body
WHEREAS, the current Parish street maps identified Second Street in the Diamond Subdivision of Norco as running from East Street, West, to Cathy Street; and,
WHEREAS, historically the residents of this street have identified it as Bethune Street; and,
WHEREAS, the current Parish street map identified Third Street in the Diamond Subdivision of Norco as running from East Street, West, to Washington Street; and,
WHEREAS, historically the residents of this street have identified it as Second Street; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to clarify any confusion of the correct names of these streets.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the street located in Diamond Subdivision, Norco, running from East Street, West, to Cathy Street, (being the second cross street north of River Road), is hereby designated as Bethune Street.
SECTION II. That the street located in Diamond Subdivision, Norco, running from East Street, West, to Washington Street, (being the third cross street north of River Road), is hereby designated as Second Street.
SECTION III. That the Department of Public Works is hereby directed to make the appropriate changes on the Parish street map to reflect Bethune Street and Second Street.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2001, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
