Title
A resolution to confirm the appointment of Ms. Beth A. Billings as a representative to the South Central Planning & Development Commission, filling the unexpired term of Former Councilwoman Wendy Benedetto.
Body
WHEREAS, by virtue of South Central Planning & Development Commission’s amended By-Laws, St. Charles Parish shall have five representatives with the Chief Elected Official being automatically appointed. All other appointments shall be appointed by the Chief Elected Official representing business, labor, industry, minority groups, unemployed or underemployed; and,
WHEREAS, said appointment requires the concurrence of two-thirds of the members of the St. Charles Parish Council; and,
WHEREAS, said appointment is due to the resignation of Former At-Large, Division A Councilwoman Wendy Benedetto on August 14, 2020.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby confirm and concur with the appointment of Ms. Beth A. Billings, 18 Landsdowne Lane, Destrehan, LA 70047, to the South Central Planning & Development Commission, filling the unexpired term of Former Councilwoman Wendy Benedetto; term concurrent with the appointing authority.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2021, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
