IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Aaron Michael Botnick is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron was a member of Troop 370, chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, he started his Scouting career in Cleveland Ohio with Pack 388; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron has spent the last 11 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron has earned his 12 required silver badges and 20 elective badges as well as a bronze eagle palm from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by working on hiking trails in Cora Clark Park in Meadville, Pennsylvania by adding guard rails for safety, reinforcing stairs on hill sides, cleaning and re-chipping trails, waterproofing wooden structures, and replacing decorative timber on cliff trails to enhance erosion control; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron earned these 32 required badges by showing leadership ability as assistant patrol leader, senior patrol leader, troop guide, troop scribe, and historian; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on June 22, 2002, in Meadville, Pennsylvania under Troop 209 and received his medal in a ceremony on December 15, 2002, at the Congregation Gates of Prayer in Metairie, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS,      Aaron can continue to grow by using his leadership abilities acquired in training for his EAGLE SCOUT awards by graduating from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, majoring in atmospheric science.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
AARON MICHAEL BOTNICK

created in 1807 from the county of the
