Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from O-L to R-1M on a 23,958 square foot portion of a 1 by 30 arpent tract, River Park to Union Carbide Subdivision, municipal address 16279 River Road, Taft as requested by Bayou Fleet Partnership, LLP.
Body
WHEREAS, the property owner requests rezoning from O-L to R-1M on a 23,958 square foot portion of a 1 by 30 arpent tract, River Park to Union Carbide Subdivision; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request at its regular meeting of March 5, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the subject area of both the current rezoning and a previous 2015 rezoning exceeds 3 acres, prompting a Future Land Use Map amendment from Low Density Residential to Manufactured Home / Recreational Vehicle (RV) Parks.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from O-L to R-1M on a 23,958 square foot portion of a 1 by 30 arpent tract, River Park to Union Carbide Subdivision, municipal address 16279 River Road, Taft as requested by Bayou Fleet Partnership, LLP.
SECTION II. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from O-L to R-1M on a 23,958 square foot portion of a 1 by 30 arpent tract, River Park to Union Carbide Subdivision, municipal address 16279 River Road, Taft as requested by Bayou Fleet Partnership, LLP.
SECTION III. To authorize the Department of Planning and Zoning to make the corresponding change from Low Density Residential to Manufactured Home / Recreational Vehicle (RV) Parks on the Future Land Use Map, adopted with ordinance 11-6-11, amended by ordinance 16-9-16.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
