IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 11-12 Year Old Girls All-Star Basketball Team have excelled in the 2011 All-Star Basketball Season; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 11-12 Year Old Girls All-Stars finished in first place in the JPRD WEST Invitational held in Harvey Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 11-12 Year Old Girls All-Stars finished second in the District Tournament in JPRD EAST; St. Charles finished first in the regional tournament held in Luling, Louisiana, securing them an invitation to participate in the International Championship Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, on April 6, 2011, the St. Charles 11-12 Year Old Girls All-Stars finished as the International Champions, at the International Tournament held in Slidell, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2011 St. Charles 11-12 Year Old Girls AllStar Team and their Coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
