RESOLUTION NO. 6310
Title
A resolution to create the West Bank Boat Launch Citizens Advisory Panel to review, evaluate and make recommendations on possible sites to construct one or more Public Boat Launches on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish is in need of one or more additional Public Boat Launches on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the current and prior Parish Council and Administration have reviewed several sites for construction of public boat launches on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish over the past several years; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish President and the Parish Council to establish a Citizens Advisory Panel to review, evaluate and make recommendations on possible sites to construct one or more public boat launches on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby create the West Bank Boat Launch Citizens Advisory Panel. Said Panel shall be tasked with reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations to the Parish President and the Parish Council on possible sites to construct one or more boat launches on the West Bank of St. Charles Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Panel shall consist of thirteen memberships to be appointed as follows: One member shall be designated by each Councilmember by letter addressed to the Council Chairman within one (1) week after adoption of this resolution or the member will be designated by the Parish President. Two members shall be designated by the Parish President by letter addressed to the Council Chairman. One member shall be designated by the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA), River Parishes Chapter. One member shall be designated by Ducks Unlimited, St. Charles Parish Chapter. The Parish President shall designate a member of his Administrative Staff to facilitate the Panel activities. All Panel meetings shall be open to the public and shall be held in the Council Chambers; however, the Panel may gather as a group to visit each possible site being considered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Panel shall remain in existence until such time as it has completed its task or it is abolished by Resolution of the Parish Council.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

And the resolution was declared adopted this 2nd day of October , 2017, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
