Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Civil Construction Contractors, Inc. for the West Bank Bridge Park Walkway Expansion.
Body
WHEREAS, on August 10, 1998 the Parish acquired 13.044 acres of land adjacent to the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling for its eventual expansion; and,
WHEREAS, the first phase of the expansion project was the construction of a 208 space concrete parking lot across the front of the property; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on June 22, 2001 for the expansion of the Walkway and Civil Contractors, Inc. submitted the low bid of $ 86,627.00 and,
WHEREAS, Danny J. Hebert, P.E. has reviewed the bids and recommend its award.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Civil Construction Contractors, Inc. for the West Bank Bridge Park Walkway Expansion is hereby accepted in the amount of $86,627.00.
SECTION II. That the contract for the West Bank Bridge Park Walkway Expansion and between Civil Construction Contractors, Inc. and St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.
SECTION III. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

The foregoing Ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the Ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2001, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
