Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Buchart Horn, Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P090904 Mimosa and Lagatutta Drainage Improvements.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described projects undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. P090904 Mimosa and Lagututta Drainage Improvements project. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
Engineering Services (Basic and Inspection) $ 315,342.00
Construction $ 2,937,475.00
Other Project Cost $ 141,880.00
Advertising, Recordation, Land Acquisition,
Right-of-Ways, Permits, Surveying, Soil Testing, etc.
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $ 3,394,697.00
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the attached contract for Engineering Services between Buchart Horn, Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III. That the necessary funds for the total project budget in the amount $3,394,697.00 be allocated to the above described project and appropriated from the Roads and Drainage (112) Fund.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2009 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
