Title
An ordinance to revoke and abandon First Street in Wesco Subdivision, Norco, said property serving no public use.
Body
WHEREAS, a dedication of Wesco Subdivision was made by plat dated May 16, 1931, Payne Engineering Company, and corrected February 19, 1936, H. E. Landry, Parish Engineer; and,
WHEREAS, a dedication of streets was made by acceptance of Wesco Addition by the St. Charles Parish Police Jury on April 5, 1938; and,
WHEREAS, First Street in Wesco Subdivision is no longer needed by the public and it would be unnecessary for the Parish to expend funds to continue to maintain it.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That First Street in Wesco Subdivision is more fully described as that portion of ground running between Block One and Block A measuring approximately fifty foot front on Wesco Road and running alongside Block 1 for approximately five hundred seven feet and along Block A for approximately five hundred seven feet all to the General American Tank Car Corporation property line, in accordance with a survey dated April 5, 1938, prepared by H.E. Landry, a copy of which is attached to a dedication of streets which was made by acceptance of Wesco Addition by the St. Charles Parish Police Jury on April 5, 1938.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby revoke and abandon First Street in Wesco Subdivision, Norco, said property serving no public use; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Act of Revocation.
