Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC, for the Circle K Sewer Force Main Extension Feasibility Study (Project No. S250601), in the lump sum of $100,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Department of Wastewater desires to evaluate the feasibility of extending the existing force main from the Circle K Sewer Lift Station to the proposed site for the Turtle Pond Sewer Lift Station; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Department of Wastewater currently experiences overflow/backup issues due to the existing Circle K force main discharging to a manhole upstream of the railroad tracks along Almedia Road in St. Rose; and,
WHEREAS, on June 5, 2025, St. Charles Parish entered into a Certified Memorandum of Agreement with the Regional Economic Development Organization of Greater New Orleans, Inc. under the Louisiana Competes Regional Economic Development Program (LACRED) which awarded St. Charles Parish with $100,000.00 in funds to complete said project described above, with $10,000.00 of those funds being contributed by St. Charles Parish as a match; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC, have mutually agreed to a lump sum price of $100,000.00 to complete the work; and,
WHEREAS, the details regarding scope, schedule and compensation are described in the Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Fairway Consulting and Engineering, LLC, for the Circle K Sewer Force Main Feasibility Study (Project No. S250601), in the lump sum of $100,000.00, is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
