Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Sealevel Construction, Inc for project P070107 Paradis Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck in the amount of $910,513.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on September 17, 2009 for project P070107 Paradis Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck; and,
WHEREAS, Buchart Horn, Inc., the Engineer for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Sealevel Construction, Inc., in the amount of $910,513.00; and,
WHEREAS, installation of this project will improve the performance of the Paradis Pump Station by automatically removing debris and vegetation that could plug the pump inlet; and,
WHEREAS, this project also has an approved FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant in the amount of $750,000 to assist the Parish in funding.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Sealevel Construction, Inc, for the construction of project P070107 Paradis Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck, be hereby accepted, in the amount of $910,513.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.
