Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P120801 Randolph Pump Station Auto Bar Screen Cleaner.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described
project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. P120801 Randolph Pump Station Auto Bar Screen Cleaner. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, this project will install decking and automated bar screen cleaners adjacent to the existing pump station. Decking will be sized to facilitate removal of debris with a small "bobcat" and include appropriate entrance ramp and curbing. Bar screen cleaners will include necessary controls to allow automatic control of its operation; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
Engineering Services $ 88,440.00
Construction $ 1,200,000.00
Other Project Cost $ 264,000.00
Advertising, Recordation, etc.
Land Acquisition, Right-of-Ways
Permits, Surveying
Soil Testing, Project Inspection
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $ 1,552,440.00
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the contract for Engineering Services between Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
