IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Betty Portera has served for over 35 years as an outspoken supporter of St. Charles Parish Hospital, “our hospital”, keeping in mind the best interest of its owners, the taxpayers of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Betty is known as someone who is always willing to listen to both sides of an issue, provided it is clearly understood that the quality of care for the patients is always her main concern; and,
WHEREAS, Betty has been a part of continued improvements to the quality of care, the expansion of medical service providers and facilities at “our hospital” including the David J. Vial Patient Tower, the new Emergency Room, Ambulance Service Upgrades, the Behavior Health Unit, Plantation View Medical Offices, and the Assisted Living Facility, to name a few; and,
WHEREAS, Betty has been a constant voice supporting the importance of “our hospital” along with emergency medical services to enhance the quality of life in St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby express our sincere thanks and appreciation to
