Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SERVICES (EES), INC. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. S110302 Luling Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation.
Body
WHEREAS, the wastewater system west of Paul Maillard Rd (Hwy 52) inclusive, is aged and contains many deficiencies allowing the inflow and infiltration of non-wastewater into the system;
WHEREAS, this additional inflow and infiltration, places and additional burden upon our wastewater treatment facilities by having to treat otherwise uncontaminated water;
WHEREAS, monies have become available via the Louisiana Community Development Block Grant to repair and rehabilitate the wastewater system;
WHEREAS, in order to secure such monies plans and specifications are required necessitating an Engineering Firm to perform such work;
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish desires to have the following described projects undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering Services for Parish Project No. S110302 Luling Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable project budget is as follows:
Engineering Services $171,317
Construction $868,745
Other Project Cost $86,875
Advertising, Recordation, etc.
Permits, Surveying
Soil Testing, Project Inspection
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $1,126,937
