RESOLUTION NO. 4771
Title
A resolution requesting the assistance and support of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation on priority projects for St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council firmly believes the following listed issues are priority projects which will benefit all of the citizens of St. Charles Parish:
I. Hurricane Protection Levee Projects:
East and West Banks of St. Charles Parish
II. Internal Drainage
III. Airport Expansion into St. Charles Parish
IV. Bike Path Funding
V. Expansion East Bank Bridge Park
VI. Recreation Site in Vicinity of Davis Pond
Freshwater Diversion Project
VII. Bonnet Carré Spillway Master Plan
VIII. GIS
IX. FEMA Grandfathering Clause
WHEREAS, the Parish Council is requesting our Congressional Delegation assist in promoting and/or funding these projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request the assistance and support of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation on priority projects for St. Charles Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and attached correspondence be distributed to Senator John Breaux, Senator Mary Landrieu, Representative Billy Tauzin and members of their Staff.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

And the resolution was declared adopted this 21st day of February , 2000, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
