Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 13-5-14 and Ordinance No. 19-12-16, as previously amended, to provide for the change of Polling Place for Precinct 6-1 in Montz, Louisiana, from Montz Community Center, 152 Union Lane, Montz to Zephirin L. Perilloux Firehouse, 17830 River Road, Montz.
Body
WHEREAS, as a result of Hurricane Ida and the damage sustained to certain Polling Places, a temporary emergency move of the Polling Place for Precinct 6-1 from Montz Community Center, 152 Union Lane, Montz to Zephirin L. Perilloux Firehouse, 17830 River Road, Montz, for the November 13, 2021, election was approved by the Parish Council per Ordinance No. 21-10-1 on October 4, 2021, and was approved by the Louisiana Secretary of State; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to make said change permanent.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 13-5-14 and Ordinance No. 19-12-16 are hereby amended by changing the following Polling Place:
Precinct 6-1
From: Montz Community Center, 152 Union Lane, Montz, LA
To: Zephirin L. Perilloux Firehouse, 17830 River Road, Montz, LA
SECTION II. That all other Sections of Ordinance No. 13-5-14 and Ordinance No. 19-12-16 remain as first written or previously amended.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
