Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 07-10-7 to extend the MORATORIUM on the approval of Major Subdivisions (6 or more lots) in Ama until September 30, 2008.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 07-10-7 on October 1, 2007 which enacted a Moratorium on the approval of major subdivisions (6 or more lots) in the Community of Ama; and,
WHEREAS, said Moratorium was extended through August 31, 2008, per Ordinance No. 08-2-2 adopted on February 25, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Planning & Zoning Commission has not yet acted on the Ama Land Use and Zoning Study; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to now extend said Moratorium until September 30, 2008.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 07-10-7 adopted on October 1, 2007 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION II. That the Moratorium hereby imposed shall be in effect until September 30, 2008.
