Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for 5th Street Drainage Improvements (Project No. P190506), to decrease the contract amount by $108,720.00 and increase contract time by 97 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-7-2 adopted on July 1, 2019, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a professional service multi-phase project agreement with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for a project that installs new 48-inch and 54-inch storm sewers along Fifth Street from Spruce Street to Engineer's Canal in Norco (Parish Project Number P190506); and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-5-11 adopted on May 17, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Byron E. Talbot Contractor, Inc., for the Fifth Street Drainage Improvements (Project No. P190506), in the amount of $1,182,515.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-8-3 adopted on August 9, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Professional Services Agreement with Alpha Testing and Inspection, Inc., to perform all necessary testing services for the 5th Street Drainage Improvements Project (Parish Project No. P190506); and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to adjust the contract quantities with actual quantities resulting in a decrease to the contract amount by $108,720.00 and increase the number of days by 97.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for 5th Street Drainage Improvements (Project No. P190506), to decrease the contract amount by $108,720.00 and increase contract time by 97 days is hereby approved and accepted.
