Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the LA 18 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement, Phase III (Project No. WWKS 113), to decrease the contract amount by $85,019.76.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-10-2 adopted on October 3, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Danny J. Hebert, P.E., L.L.C., d.b.a. Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers to perform engineering services for the LA 18 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement, Phase III (Project No. WWKS 113), in the not to exceed amount of $120,150.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 25-5-10 adopted on May 19, 2025, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Contract with Barriere Construction Co., L.L.C. for the LA 18 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement, Phase III (Project No. WWKS 113), in the amount of $779,876.10; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and Barriere Construction Co., L.L.C. have mutually agreed to decrease the contract amount by $85,019.76.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the LA 18 Cast Iron Water Main Replacement, Phase III (Project No. WWKS 113), to decrease the contract amount by $85,019.76 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2026, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
