Title
A resolution providing mandatory supporting authorization for a waiver to the Subdivision requirement that limits block lengths to a maximum of 1500' and include a cross road at the northern end of Oaklawn Ridge Lane (approximately 2500') and extending the entire width of the subdivision property as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-99-84.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning & Zoning Commission approval and a supporting resolution of the Parish Council for variations to the subdivision regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the applicant, Oaklawn Ridge, LLC has presented a subdivision plan to create 69 residential lots in St. Rose, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed subdivision as shown on the plat by BFM Corporation, Inc. and dated May 24, 1999 was designed to fit between two gas pipeline right-of-ways; and,
WHEREAS, expansion of this proposed subdivision to the east would be limited be the existence of an industrial buffer zone; and,
WHEREAS, the subdivision as presented would require a waiver to the Subdivision requirement that limits block lengths to a maximum of 1500' and include a cross road at the northern end of Oaklawn Ridge Lane (approximately 2500') and extending the entire width of the subdivision property; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed variation from the subdivision regulations has received approval from the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby provide this supporting resolution for a waiver to the Subdivision requirement that limits block lengths to a maximum of 1500' and include a cross road at the northern end of Oaklawn Ridge Lane (approximately 2500') and extending the entire width of the subdivision property as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission ...
