Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Lamar Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the St. Charles Parish Health Unit at 843 Milling Avenue in Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on March 1, 2002, for the construction of the St. Charles Parish Heath Unit; and,
WHEREAS, Joseph B. Caillouet, Architect/AIA has reviewed the bids and recommends that the low bidder, Lamar Contractors, Inc. be awarded the contract; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to award said contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Lamar Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the St. Charles Parish Health Unit in the amount of $1,315,800.00 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
