IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Jessica Elise Mitchell is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan with her parents Eric and Marilyn Mitchell and her brother Jonathan; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica has excelled in academics and is the Destrehan High School Salutatorian for the graduating class of 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica's activities and accomplishments include the following: Member of the Beta Club, Member of the Quiz Bowl, National Honor Society, Destrehan Honors Scholars, Peer Support Leader, attended Girls State Summer Program in her junior year, a Member of the Desty Darlings, listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students and in The U. S. Achievement Academy; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica was the recipient of the UPS James E. Casey Scholarship and in the fall will attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on a Centennial Academic Scholarship majoring in Political Science; and,
WHEREAS, Jessica had an opportunity this summer to travel and work in Austria and visit as much of Europe as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
