ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Final Change Order No. Two (2) for the Paradis Force Main Project to decrease the contract amount by $3,355.38 and to increase the contract time by 180 days to balance quantities and negotiated items.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 99-7-5, adopted July 6, 1999 by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a contract with "K" Construction, Inc. for the construction of a force main in the amount of $250,775.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 00-4-11, adopted April 3, 2000 by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. One (1) that increased the contract time by six (6) days and increased the contract amount by $67,740.39 to adjust for delays encountered through the improper location of underground utilities and to provide for the purchase of pipe that was not included in the original bid tabulation through a transposition error; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to decrease the contract amount by $3,355.38 and to increase the contract time by 180 days to balance quantities and negotiated items.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. To approve and authorize the execution of Final Change Order No. Two (2) to the contract for the Paradis Force Main to decrease the contract price by $3,355.38 and to increase the contract time by 180 days.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
