An ordinance placing a MORATORIUM on the issuance of permits for mobile homes along Wisner Street, Cadow Street and Travis Street in Paradis until June 30, 2004.

Body

WHEREAS,      on January 8, 2004, the Planning & Zoning Commission will consider a proposal to rezone the property along Wisner Street, Cadow Street and Travis Street in Paradis from R-1AM (allowing mobile homes) to R-1A (single residential); and,

WHEREAS,      residents of Wisner Street, Cadow Street and Travis Street have voiced their opinion in favor of R-1A zoning to the District Councilman and District Councilman-Elect; and,

WHEREAS,      until the proposed rezoning ordinance can be considered by the Parish Council, a Moratorium should be established on issuance of permits for mobile homes.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

      SECTION I.      That there is hereby imposed a MORATORIUM on the issuance of permits for mobile homes along Wisner Street, Cadow Street and Travis Street in Paradis until June 30, 2004.
