Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Cycle Construction Company, LLC, for project S080501-2 Destrehan WWTP Phase 2 Headworks Rehabilitation in the amount of $268,950.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on February, 19, 2009 for project S080501-2 Destrehan WWTP Phase 2 Headworks Rehabilitation; and,
WHEREAS, CH2MHILL, the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Cycle Construction Company, LLC in the amount of $268,950.00; and,
WHEREAS, this project is the final project to repair the headworks section of the treatment plant and will repair lining under the rotary screens, in the grit chambers, and troughs up to the diversion boxes; and,
WHEREAS, the Destrehan Wastewater Treatment Plant services the entire East Bank of St. Charles Parish, repair of the failed lining in the headworks section is critical to avoiding significant interruption of plant operations.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Cycle Construction Company, LLC, for the construction of project S080501-2 Destrehan WWTP Phase 2 Headworks Rehabilitation, be hereby accepted, in the amount of $268,950.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.
