A resolution to amend the Parish Council Rules by adding Rule 40: Recognition and Proclamation Guidelines.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES TO AMEND THE COUNCIL RULES BY ADDING RULE 40. Recognition and Proclamation Guidelines AS FOLLOWS:
Proclamations
Proclamations shall be prepared and offered, when desired, in observance of or in recognition of a specific event, day, week, or month, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Cancer Awareness Month, Crime Prevention Week, Domestic Violence Awareness Day, Mardi Gras Krewes, and the like.
Recognitions
Recognitions shall be prepared and offered, when desired, to honor or recognize any individual(s) that are either an employee or citizen of St. Charles Parish or any other individual(s), whose actions, service, valor, and the like has had a significant impact on or benefit to the Parish, State, or Nation, Recognitions shall also be prepared and offered, when desired, to honor or recognize any group and/or sports team whose achievement and/or efforts deserve special recognition.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby amend the Parish Council Rules by adding Rule 40: Recognition and Proclamation Guidelines.
